What was the national inflation rate for 2008 and for 2009?
I'm sure there's a department of government that keeps track of this stuff, so there should be an official national inflation rate out there somewhere, but I can't seem to find it. Maybe you could help me out.
You might want to look at the CPI (Consumer Price Index)
Bureau of Labor Statistics website should have the information.
